a. In what ways did I Love Lucy reflect American society and family life of the 1950s? Give specific examples.

b. How have television situation comedies since I Love Lucy copied the formula for success established by that program? Do you see elements of the I Love Lucy pattern in today’s situation comedies? Give specific examples of shows you have watched as a kid and/or adult.

c. Why do you think I Love Lucy has continued to be so popular, both in the United States and throughout the world?
