Question Description
Step 1
Write down the answers to the following questions for yourself.
Questions:
- What do you feel like you are suppressing or hiding right now?
- What would you like to show the world that they currently cannot see?
- What do you wish people knew about you but they don’t?
- What do you want to be but can’t?
- What are you proud of that you don’t tell anyone about?
- Do you have any personal weirdness or oddity that you are afraid to show people?
Step 2
Analyze your answers and reflect on who you really are or would like to be. Write about how you could incorporate design elements into these ideas:
- If I were to show or express this idea in a line it would be . . . (rough, smooth, dotted, zig-zag, curly., thick, thin, etc.)
- If I were so show or express this idea using shapes they would be. . . (geometric, organic, large, small, transparent, opaque, etc.)
- If I were to show or express this idea using value it would be. . . (lighter, darker, middle values, contrast, etc.)
- If I were to show or express this idea using a texture it would be . . . (rough, smooth, bumpy, gritty, shaggy, etc.)
- If I were to show this through color and its symbolism the colors would be. . . __________________because _____________________(this is where you talk about the symbols).
Step 3
Combine all of the above information into a paper.
Requirements
Analyze, reflect and write about your findings above.
Explore how you might express who your inner self is through color, shape, etc. Write about how you could express this in your mask and why it is representational of your “true self.”
Write a one page, 12-point font, single spaced paper with the information above.
