I have listed several links below to concerts that you can watch online that will count for your report if you have not already completed it.

For this concert, you need to PRINT the CONCERT REPORT FORM, READ it, and have it with you when you watch the video. That way, you will be able to use it to make quick notes during the concert, and then you can expand upon your notes to write your essay.

After filling out the form, write a two-page report describing your experience and the music you heard. Use your Concert Report Form, Concert Program, personal notes, program notes (if there are any), and your text to help your write your report.

Concert Report Grading: Worth 150 points

Outstanding Concert Report – (A:135-150 points)

• Submitted on time
• Well-organized and well-written
• Followed suggested Report Writing Guidelines very closely
• Very few spelling, punctuation or other grammatical errors
• Student used a lot of musical vocabulary from class and showed an effort of trying to engage with the music and describe it using terms from class

Points will be deducted for:

• Less than two full pages in length
• Late submissions
• Spelling errors, lack of punctuation, lack of proper formatting, poor organization, unclear writing style,
• Insufficient use of musical terms introduced in class and in the text
• Insufficient coverage of music from the concert (You must comment on pieces from the entire concert.
• Non-academic use of English
• Not following directions!
