This assignment will assist students to develop skills to disseminate research findings for a practice change project via a PowerPoint Presentation (PPT). The purpose of this presentation is to sell the audience on the implementation and evaluation of the evidence-based intervention develop in the Week 1 PICOT question.

PICOT Question

Among elderly patients aged 65 years or older (P), how will a fall risk assessment (I) compared to environment modification (C) assist in reducing incidences of falls (O) during hospital admission (T)?

Each student has 10-12 minutes to present to the audience. The assignment should be approached as a presentation of a proposal to implement a new evidence-based intervention in the practice setting with the hope of securing approval for this change.Be persuasive!!!

Assignment Criteria:

Develop a PowerPoint presentation that includes the following criteria:

1. Describe the problem related to the approved PICOT question from Week 1.
2. State the PICOT question and describe the components
3. Describe the intervention.
4. Summarize the evidence that supports the intervention.
5. Provide a brief summary of the pilot project.
6. Discuss the implementation process for the intervention and include a timeline.
7. Describe how the intervention will be evaluated. Include measurement tools and a timeline.
8. Explain the implications of the intervention on practice and the science of nursing.
9. For presentation clarification, include presenter’s notes in the click to add section to explain the slide.
10. The PowerPoint presentation should not be more than 10-12 slides (excluding the title slide and reference slide) Be complete and concise. Use bulleted statements not complete sentences or paragraphs.
11. Use APA format for PPT, which always includes a title slide, a reference slide, and APA requirements. Resources found in APA Documents/Resources.
12. A minimum of three (3) references will be required for thisassignment. References should be from scholarly peer-reviewed journals(check Ulrich’sPeriodical Directory) and be less than five (5) years old.

• Slide 6: Summarize theevidence that supports the intervention. (Convince the audience that thereview of the literature was diligent and thorough in the search for thebest evidence available on the clinical practice-basedproblem/topic)
• Slide 7: Describe thepilot project
• Slide 8: Discuss theimplementation process of intervention and include a timeline
• Slide 9: Explain the evaluationprocess and include measurement tools and a timeline
• Slide 10: Conclusion: Includea summary of the main points covered and the importance of implementingthe intervention.
• Slide 11: Reference in APAformat (please include in-text citations on the slides). Reference shouldbe in APA format.
