Hi Class, Professor,

A recent pricing issue I have noticed has been during COVID-19. Although these price changes have been in the favor of the people, I do believe this will impact businesses negatively in the long term. Restaurants have provided discounted prices for take out and curb side options. Car dealerships have made online shopping available for customers without financing options. Insurance companies are also providing credits to customers during the time of the pandemic. I believe the moral implications are within the businesses. Are they making any profit? Are their costs also discounted? Will these discounts and promotions help them make any profit?

The tactic has impacted stakeholders in a positive way as unemployment is very high. Many people are out of jobs and discounts have been a good way for them to sill get what they need. This will keep a great customers/ business relationship although this may not be a good business decision for the company and their sales revenue.
