Reflective paper: What theories might inform my problem of practice?
Question Description
Instructions
For this learning activity, we are taking the next step in our major project, the Applied Research Project that will be submitted at the end of the term. This step continues the work began in Module 2 that ask who are you as a
– Take a few moments, and reflect on what you know about theory already. What theories have you encountered in your masters program? How do those theories help you understand phenomena that you have experienced, as either a learner or a facilitator? What in the readings (both the peer-reviewed articles you have been reading and the text) help you think about this project?
– Then, write a one- to two-page (double-spaced) reflection that addresses the following:
- Given the context in which you facilitate/teach, what theories have you encountered that may be useful?
- How do you connect those theories with your preliminary problem of practice?
- If you have not encountered a theory that helps you think about your problem of practice, why do you think that might be?
- Would you like some feedback from me regarding possible theories to consider?
***Remember: All peer-reviewed literature is going to use a “theoretical” or “conceptual” framework. A framework is a “lens” through which to examine a phenomenon. Therefore, in every paper you read, ask yourself what is the framework? This can be a wonderful way to become introduced to new theories.
NOTE: I have attached Module 2 assignment (therefore you know what the practitioner (myself) wrote and you will know my problem of practice
Also, I have attached Chapter 3 (that list the theories) and another reading to help you with this assignment
Also, you only have to write 1 page double-spaced.
